Back pain is a prevalent health issue that affects many people. It’s estimated that eight out of ten individuals will experience back pain at some point in their lives. In America, around thirty-one million people suffer from lower back pain.
The American Chiropractic Association has reported that low back pain is the primary cause of disability globally. Additionally, about eighty percent of people will experience back pain at some point in their lives.
Back pain can be caused by a wide range of factors. For example, incorrect or repeated movements can result in back pain. The most common reasons for back pain include ruptured or bulging disks, arthritis, scoliosis, osteoporosis, and strained muscles or ligaments.
Other factors that can lead to back pain include poor posture, lifting an object that’s too heavy or using incorrect lifting techniques, muscle spasms, or sudden movements. Certain health conditions such as cancer and infections like shingles can also contribute to back pain.
